I was a late starter to travel ... having never left NZ until I was 30yrs old! My first experience of overseas travel was to Hong Kong in 1998 - I fell in love with travelling and decided to make a career out of it in 2001 when I joined Great Holiday Escape - a then subsidary of Flight Centre Ltd.
I ended up having a very successful agency career, managing both GHE and FCL West Auckland branches for the next 15yrs. In December 2015 my husband Roger and I decided to move our family (Ruby & Tanner) out of the hustle and bustle of Auckland City and move to a lifestyle block 3km out of town in beautiful Matamata. At first I transferred to FC Tauranga but I didn't like travelling over the Kaimai every day so I approached and was hired by Jo Anne Prevett Travel (afterwards YOU Travel) here in Matamata where I spent 2.5yrs. |
In October 2019 I felt it was time for a change - at an industry lunch I met a travel broker from Rotorua who told me about this fantastic company she worked with, Aspire Travel Brokers ... and the rest as they say is history. I am now working for myself as a travel broker under the ATG umbrella.
